One of my favorite things about this title of Mrs. Colorado 2021, is the freedom to create the reign that works best for me. Thank you, Emily Stark, for not defining my reign for me and instead beautifully supporting how it works best into my life.

I’ve been an inspirational speaker for over 5 years. Winning this title has lifted my speaking opportunities across the state in ways I couldn’t have before. And I get to use this tittle win to validate all I share about our true beauty radiating past any life scar. Scars on our hearts, on our minds, on our souls, or on our skin. We all have life scars- if I can radiate my beauty past my body full of scars to judges of a beauty pageant, then I know anyone can radiate their beauty past whatever life scars they carry.

One of my favorite reactions from all the speaking events I’ve done as Mrs. Colorado, came from a 7th grade girl. She had been struggling in school socially fitting in and had her own challenging walk with bullying. She told me she was going to hang my autograph picture in her locker to remind her of my message to see her value, her gifts, her unique and incredible beauty. So powerful, this incredible girl, her mom, and I together cried tears of hope and strength for her.
