Mrs. Colorado®

Congratulations to Krystal Blacke the newly crowned Mrs. Colorado® 2026. Krystal was crowned on April 4, 2026 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.

Hi friends! I’m Krystal Blacke, and I’m incredibly honored to serve as your Mrs. Colorado 2026.

As a sixth-generation Colorado native, this title carries deep meaning for me. It represents where I come from and the kind of legacy I want to continue—one shaped by faith, service, and family.

I come from a long line of first responders, and today I stand beside my husband as he serves as a firefighter on a heavy rescue company with the Denver Fire Department. At home, we’re raising our six children in that same environment, where service, responsibility, and caring for others are part of everyday life.

This wasn’t a quick or easy path for me. This was my fourth time competing for this title. I hadn’t been on a pageant stage in over ten years, and it had been twenty-five years since I last held a title. There were plenty of reasons to believe it wasn’t the right time, or that life was already too full.

But I felt led to step back into it, even without knowing how it would turn out.

For a long time, I was living in a place that felt like survival mode. I loved my family deeply, but I often felt overwhelmed and disconnected from myself. Over time, through my faith, intentional growth, and learning how to better care for my mind and body, things began to shift. I became more present, steadier, and more aware of how I was showing up in my home.

That process is what eventually led me into the work I do today.

I now serve as a Life and Mindset Coach for moms, especially those in first responder families. Through my work with Queen Beyond the Badge, I spend time with women who are carrying a lot and often feel like they’ve lost themselves somewhere along the way. My heart is to walk with them as they begin to find steadiness again and grow in confidence in who they are.

One of the messages I live by is simple: decide who you are and show up. When you build evidence, a little bit every single day, you become the version of yourself you’ve always wanted to be.

In our home, we talk often about living with honor—honoring God, honoring one another, and taking responsibility for how we live each day. That perspective has shaped how I view this role as well. It’s something I want to carry with care and intention.

There’s a quiet kind of growth that happens when you choose to keep showing up, even when it feels uncomfortable or uncertain. This experience was part of that for me.

Being Mrs. Colorado is more than an achievement, it’s an assignment. It’s an opportunity to build community, to uplift women, and to walk alongside them as they step into who they were always called to be.

If you’ve ever felt that nudge to try something outside of what feels familiar, I understand how that feels. You don’t have to have everything figured out to take a step forward. Sometimes it’s just about being willing to begin and seeing what the Lord might do with it.

I am so grateful for this platform and cannot wait to serve the incredible women of Colorado.
