Miss Colorado for america Strong

Congratulations to Vanity Keller - Miss Colorado for America Strong 2026.

If you’ve ever thought about doing something completely outside of your comfort zone, something that feels a little scary but also exciting, I understand that feeling more than you know.

Not long ago, that was me.

I never saw myself on a pageant stage. At 40, entering my very first pageant and then winning Miss Colorado for America Strong was something I never could have imagined for my life. I didn’t grow up in this world, and I didn’t step into it because I felt fully ready. I stepped into it because I wanted to prove to myself that I could try something new and show up anyway.

This experience stretched me in the best ways. It challenged me, refined me, and helped me see myself differently. Somewhere along the way, I realized the real transformation wasn’t about the title. It was about becoming stronger, more confident, and more grounded in who I am.

I was raised in the inner city of Chicago, and my life has been shaped by both challenges and resilience. Those experiences built a strength in me that I carry into everything I do. Looking back, I can honestly say I’m grateful for all of it, because it led me here.

Being a single mom is one of the greatest parts of my story. My son has been my biggest supporter through this entire journey. On the days I questioned myself, he was right there reminding me, “Mom, you’ve got this.” He is my reason, my motivation, and the steady voice that keeps me moving forward.

What surprised me most was the community. I didn’t expect to walk away with the kind of friendships and support I found in this experience. Being surrounded by women who are all growing, pushing themselves, and showing up for one another is something truly special.

As I prepare for the national stage, I carry every part of my story with me. Where I came from, what I’ve walked through, and who I’m continuing to become all matter. This journey didn’t just add something to my life. It changed the way I see myself.

And if you’re in a season where you feel that quiet nudge to do something different, to challenge yourself in a new way, I can tell you this. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to begin.
