Top of the Morning’ to ya!
I hope this finds you all well as February is drawing to a close. I cant believe that in less than 4 months I will be passing my title as Mrs. Colorado on to another lucky and deserving Mrs! I bet those of you that are competing are starting to get butterflies and the planning is getting real!
I have had a much busier month out of the house. While all of my appearances and events have looked different, I have still gotten to go places which is nice. Finally an opportunity to get out of the leisure wear! I have enjoyed participating in the Tim Tebow Night to Shine at the beginning of the month in Littleton aside Mrs. Colorado American Sylvia Waller and many local title holders. I got to judge the USA National Miss Pageant in Northglenn mid month alongside Sylvia Waller and Juliet Abdel (Miss Colorado for America). I will be attending the Windsor Chamber of Commerce “Go Red” event this week and finally a very special Breast Cancer Awareness event this Saturday February 27th sponsored by Dillards!
Along with our local title holders butterflies about competing in June, My butterflies are coming on as I prepare for the Mrs. America pageant in Las Vegas March 19-27! I cant believe after all of the delays, its finally approaching! Lots of extra workouts, interview prep, stage prep and wardrobe. I am so excited! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity I have been blessed with and I am going to soak it all in! I hope you will all watch via livestream and I will be sure to pass it on as soon as I have it!
Personally we are doing great. All of the kids are back to school (my oldest is part time in Douglas County but something is better than nothing). Sports are back in full swing and I am in my happy place at the rink and on the basketball bleachers. Jason is plugging along at work but as a salesman he is really missing his clients face to face. He doesn’t love traveling but I think he wouldn’t mind being on a plane every now and then. It doesn’t look like travel will be approved until later this year so I do feel for him. I hope you all have a wonderful, healthy and safe March!
Slainte’,
Nicole
