What Do Ambassadors Do?

Ambassadors help the Project Angel Heart team in raising awareness about our medically tailored meal program and encouraging the community to support Project Angel Heart and our restaurant partners. Ambassadors can choose to take part in-person or virtually.

In-person Ambassadors

Leading up to the event, your ambassador role includes inviting people in your network to:

1.  Donate to help us reach our goal and provide medically tailored meals to neighbors in need.

2.  Share a post about #DOFLCO, #DineOutGiveBack and #ProjectAngelHeart on social media (and tag any restaurants you are supporting)!

On April 28:

1.  Volunteer at a participating restaurant or brewery to tell diners about Project Angel Heart, thank them for dining out, answer questions, and encourage them to make a personal donation. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts are available (generally four hours long).

Virtual Ambassadors

By registering as a virtual ambassador, you'll instantly be set up wth a fundraising page and given tools to share this information on social media or by email.

Fundraising

Dining Out For Life® is Project Angel Heart's biggest fundraiser! We rely on donations from the event to prepare and deliver nutritious meals, free of charge, for people living with HIV/AIDS and other severe illnesses. Last year, Dining Out For Life ambassadors raised nearly $120,000 through emails, phone calls, and social media reminders leading up to the event, and through donations made on the day of the event.
